One of a Kind

grace and love she shows
like a light in the dark
to all she really knows

she's blessed us
with her wit and sorrow
she has shared her life
for us to marvel

in the field of drab weeds
that populates my mind
like a lone wild Violet
she's one of a kind.

Reincarnation

man or child
beast tamed or wild
all meet their destiny

when the angel of death
calls out their name
their time has come
to meet their end

there's no excuse
no escape

but what if
through the darkness
came a light
to offer life again

the keeper of souls offers
life a new
with just one twist
the beast becomes man
and man the creature
he became.

Another Chance

If tomorrow never gets here
will you be content
with what you've done

or

will you look back in time
and think
I wish I had
done that differently

and

would
if given
another chance

would you spend
less time crying
about how hard
life had been

or

spent more time
living
to the fullest extent

if the angel of death offered
to let you
start anew

would you
do it differently

or

would you
still be you

Darkyn

Chrome and Glass

Just like him
she thought
to meet at Chrome and Glass
Chrome and Glass and Cheap
Champagne
supposing, again, and always
Wrong
that this
is what will
please
her

How is it possible
she thought
to live with someone Twenty Years
and still, again, and always
Know
nothing

He will arrive
exactly
on time
Teutonically
correct

Minutes measured like
cubits
carved into coffins, his
eyes
the only difference in
all
the world

He will smile
as will She
but neither will
recall
when a smile was
all
the world in
all
the world of
Chrome and Glass
that would
ever
really
shine

Alone

White wine chilled, two glasses,

Mood romantic, red rose soft light,

Another anniversary alone, blowing ashes,

Swirl upon wind, memories take flight,

Soft sounds of sorrow, tears slowly drip,

Pour the wine your favorite, take a sip.

Today just another day without you near,

Heart aches, pain unbearable can you hear,

Whispered prayers alone in darkness,

For death, please be swift, bare witness,

Life not worth living, with you gone beyond,

My touch, my kiss, my comfort, I only bleed.

Listen to my heart’s song, take me I plead.

No greater fear then another year alone

Sunday's Theme At The Red Planet 09-28-08

"Live The Moment"

Below are links to four pictures. Place yourself in one or more of these pictures. In it, is your world, your existence...the present time you live in...

What's before you? How does it make you feel? Let's hear your story in words, detailing the scene...how it led up to the image...what the image represents...and what the final outcome, not shown in the picture, is to be.

Relax! It's not as hard as it sounds. Remember...this is your world. Create and explore it with your thoughts, and transform those thoughts into beautiful, expressive words of the imagination.

Oh, and you can use the same title listed for each picture, or you can come up with your very own.

Have fun, everyone!

Nowww...choooooooose yoooooour weap...umm...oops...link(s). Sorry, got a little carried away there...hehe!:

"Lonely Tree"

I waited for you to rescue me...but you never came.

How would you describe this picture? What words speak and cling to your heart? Absorb the panoramic scene and write a poem illustrating your thoughts and emotions on what you see here:
