"The Perfect Storm"

Describe what you would call your "perfect storm." How the heavy or light rainfall and the sounds of "pitter patter" quench your thoughts, puts you in a state of tranquility, a relaxation mode of meditation, which may help you find that peace and calm you've been lacking for so many days.

Or do the fierce and evil winds and frightening booms of thunder, accompanied by electric charges of flashed lightning lurch out at you like demons from the bowels of hell; intensifying your anger, building up jagged emotions, feeding that venomous rage?

The sounds of silence after it's all said and done. The aftermath of a quiet or fearful storm. Where do you stand with man and nature, where do you stand with yourself?

*Note: Feel free to throw in a couple of tornadoes or a devastating hurricane, or even an earthquake or tsunami if this is what completes your "perfect storm."

"Your Greatest Fear"

What is it you fear the most? What makes your knees rattle or possibly wet yourself...what makes you jump out of your skin or gives you chills when certain thoughts arise, or you walk into a specific room or area that just doesn't feel right?

Are you afriad of flying, other people's driving, ghosts, cemeteries, animals, earthquakes, tornadoes, guns, dark places, weird people, strangers, your mother in law...

Large bodies of water, the salesman that smiles a lot, bad poetry, people with no sense of humor, whatsoever...

The attic, basement, death, the grim reaper, bad comedy shows, nightmares, Uncle Bob "Hacksaw" Weaver, who you swear, just might be a serial killer.

Let's hear it, good people; I know you have it in you. We'd like to know about one or more of your greatest fears.

The Darkness & The Light

I embrace my darkness
And in your light I shine
My light is simply a reflection
Of the beauty you gave back to my life

From anger and distrust
You have built a bridge for me
To walk in trust and caring
And in your world I see

You've taught me that my darkness
Doesn't have to be feared
And I've seen the light in you
You thought you'd hidden from view

For that I do rejoice
For even in the darkness

"Yes, just the way that you did mine" she whispered

Pain often cries for vengeance
Savoring its sweetness
Finding small victory
In the aftermath of loss

Something of happiness you just couldn't or cannot hold in any longer; a feeling so wonderful, it means the world to you to express and share it with others...possibly a turning point, years in the making, or a simple day that turned out to be a memory...one to last a lifetime.
